About Me

My name is Jo and I've been working in the fitness industry now for about 10 years. I first started teaching aerobics while I was at Exeter University where I received 1st class honours for my Sports Science degree. It was here I got THE FITNESS BUG!!

I then went on more training courses to teach spinning, and many other classes which I absolutely loved (and still do) before completing my Level 3 Personal Trainer award with the NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine). Their focus was based on holism and achieving optimal posture and alignment to bring about the biggest change in terms of strength, flexibility, aesthetics and being injury free. This focus lead me on to train in teaching pilates, which also has this focus at its centre.

Through over 5 years of teaching pilates (both one-on-one and classes) I have helped many people become free from injuries, stronger, more defined, and happier about the way they look and feel. Pilates is not only really good fun, and a little bit painful if you're doing it right, but it's fab for all levels, even those completely uncoordinated or those who fancy a snooze every now and then!

Two years ago I became qualified in sports massage and as a sports injuries specialist I have already helped numbers of sore, tight and injured bodies become healthier, more flexible, pain free and more mobile. This is a really important focus for me as I am also currently studying to become an Osteopath, and am in year 5 of 5, so not long to go!
